Dr. Jackson’s Bio

Jeffrey D. Jackson, MD, is a fellowship-trained, board-certified, orthopedic surgeon practicing in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dr. Jackson grew up in Salt Lake City and graduated from the University of Utah School of Medicine at the top of his class. He completed his orthopedic residency training at the Mayo Clinic, learning from some of the world leaders in orthopedics. Through further training with a fellowship in sports medicine and arthroscopy at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute (SCOI), he had the opportunity to care for many professional athletes.

Today, Dr. Jackson’s practice is focused on comprehensively treating shoulder and knee conditions ranging from simple arthroscopic procedures to complex replacements. Utilizing less invasive and frequently less painful surgical techniques, patients can return to their sports, work, and activities sooner. Dr. Jackson treats each patient as if they are a family member or friend by listening to them with compassion and using the latest science and technology to provide the best treatment possible. In his free time, Dr. Jackson enjoys golfing, snow skiing, and coaching his kids' sports teams.
